Colorectal cancer screening. This includes: a guaiac-based fecal occult blood test or fecal immunochemical test every 12 months for members age 50 and older; a flexible sigmoidoscopy every 48 months for members age 50 and older; DNA based colorectal screening every 3 years; a colonoscopy every 24 months for members who are at high risk for developing colorectal cancer; and other colorectal cancer screening tests and procedures according to the limits and/or requirements set by Medicare. If a polyp or other tissue is found and removed during the colorectal cancer screening exam your outpatient surgery copayment will be waived.
