This Medex plan covers one routine pelvic exam, including a routine Pap smear test, every two years when the services are furnished by a Physician or other Medicare covered provider, including a Nurse Midwife or Nurse Practitioner. This includes other Medicare-approved services furnished as part of an exam, such as a clinical breast exam to check for breast cancer. This coverage is provided once every year for members at high risk for developing cervical or vaginal cancer (as determined by Medicare).
