This health plan includes the Blue Distinction Program. Under this program, covered services will usually be obtained from a covered Blue Distinction Center in order to receive the health care coverage for the types of inpatient specialty care covered under this program. There are certain times when a member may use any preferred or non-preferred hospital or facility to receive all of this health care coverage, whether or not the hospital or facility is a Blue Distinction Center. In these instances, the cost share is the same cost share amount that a member would pay at a Blue Distinction Center for these covered services.
