Women's Preventive Health Services - All female members of any age have the right to full in-network coverage for certain women's preventive health services as recommended by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. These types of preventive health services include: well woman visits; domestic violence screening; human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA testing; screening for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection; contraception methods and counseling; screening for gestational diabetes; and breastfeeding support and equipment. For a description of these preventive health services, the member can call the Blue Cross Blue Shield customer service office or go online at www.bluecrossma.org. Coverage is subject to all of the provisions and requirements of this health plan. Refer to other sections for coverage related to preventive health services such as prenatal care, routine GYN exams, family planning, and prescription drug benefits for birth control drugs and devices.
