Eye care furnished by a Physician, including glaucoma screening (once per year) for high-risk members, such as: members with family history of glaucoma; members with diabetes; African Americans age 50 or older; and Hispanic Americans age 65 or older. For people with diabetes, screening for diabetic retinopathy covered once per year. These covered services also include: one pair of eyeglasses or contact lenses after each cataract surgery with the insertion of an intraocular lens; corrective lenses/frames needed after a cataract removal without a lens implant; and one pair of contact lenses needed due to keratoconus.
